Gunned Down from Behind at 14 Years Old: First Day of School
Donation protected
I am Lester L. Washington, the maternal grandfather of TRAVEZ J. WASHINGTON (aka ”Baton Rouge” at schools in Pensacola). His mother is Vicola, Grandmother is Sarah of Baton Rouge, from Opelousas, LA). The 14 y/o was murdered on the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL IN EBRPSS. He was eager to go to Baton Rouge to visit his family and was shot more than 30 times from behind, two days before his planned surprise visit with family in Florida. The money is for his funeral and related expenses, counseling, and recovery!
The family was already reeling from his 10 y/o sister with Dyslexia accidentally burning the family house down in Pensacola, and about 2 1/2 years after his mom had a stroke at about 36 y/o. The family has suffered three major tragedies in less than three years.
Travez would have been 15 years old on 09/02/2024. However, he was gunned down from behind while walking down the street in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was a smart and fun-loving CHILD but he also had ADHD and another sibling has dyslexia. Travez was a computer whiz and scored one of the highest scores on the Florida Standardized Test in the 4th grade.
He should’ve been at school that day. However, EBRPSS would not allow him to enroll for eight months, falsely claiming he was expelled. The Director of Truancy later confirmed that he was not expelled and should have been allowed in class that day. He was a rising computer engineer (plan) whose life was cut short too early while simply walking down the street. No child should be shot 30+ times while walking down the streets or anywhere else!
