My name is Joubeen Khatami
I met this family thru a volunteer group.
All of the funds collected will be going towards helping the Muhammadi family get a car.
I plan on withdrawing the funds in my account and purchasing the car for them in their name.
A few months ago, The Muhammadi family fled Afghanistan with just the clothes on their backs. They have had to acclimate to a whole new world which has been difficult for them. Najibullah, his wife Rabia, and six children are in the United States on a Special migration Visa as a result of working with the US Army in Afghanistan. Najibullah served alongside U.S. forces in various security capacities from 2010 to 2021. Because of his work, his family was targeted by the Taliban and had to flee the country like many others.
Mr. Muhammadi recently started a new job at a food processing company but since he does not have transportation, and they have been housed far from public transportation, most of his income is spent on Uber rides. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to help them purchase a car so that they can easily go to work, school, grocery shop, and schedule doctor visits. One of Mr. Muhammadi’s sons has a genetic disorder that will require routine medical visits.
Any contribution would help the Muhammadi family get closer to their goal and is greatly appreciated. We thank you!
