Help Thelma, Omari & Naya Rebuild After House Fire

On August 29th, 2025, tragedy struck when Thelma, Omari, and Naya lost their home in a devastating house fire.

While we are so thankful that they are safe, they are now facing the unimaginable challenge of starting over with nothing. In just moments, they lost their home, their treasured belongings, and a sense of security that can’t be easily replaced.

Thelma is a dedicated teacher who gives so much of herself to her students and community. As she prepares to support her classroom this fall, she’s now also trying to rebuild her own life. Her children, Omari and Naya, lost everything—clothes, school supplies, cherished items, and the comfort of home—just as a new school year begins.

We are reaching out to our extended family, friends, and community for support during this heartbreaking time. Any amount—big or small—will go directly toward helping Thelma and her family cover immediate necessities like clothing, food, temporary housing, furniture, and other essentials as they begin the long road to recovery.
