Help Theadora on her Journey @ University of the Arts London

Hello! My name is Theadora Galea and I am 17 years old. I am honoured to have been accepted to one of the most prestigious art schools - the University of the Arts London, where I will have the opportunity to turn my passion into a career. I’ve applied for their Foundation Diploma in Art and Design, which is a highly competitive course to be accepted into.

I consider myself to be a well rounded artist with a diverse range of skills in a variety of media. This 1 year course will help me to make a more informed decision on which BA course to pursue. It will expose me to various disciplines of art and I will be surrounded by experienced tutors to guide my decision, other talented individuals and an environment that encourages me to be the most creative version of myself. Once I have completed my Foundation year, the University of the Arts London guarantees that I will receive a place on one of their BA courses.

Although there are no tuition fees for this course (as I am under the age of 19), it is not the only cost I will be facing. I am unable to get a student loan for my first year. Despite me saving up, getting a job and selling my artworks I still anticipate there to be a significant shortfall in the funds required. I am seeking to raise £20,000. Your generous donations will go directly towards my rent, relocating to London from Malta, my living costs and my art supplies.
