Hello everyone, I’m reaching out to ask for help for my aunt, Thea Boxberger, who has been a second mother to me and helped raise me my whole life. Thea is currently facing some of the toughest challenges of her life. She is on dialysis three times a week due to kidney failure, and over the past month, she has been in and out of the hospital after suffering multiple falls. Just four days ago, she underwent back surgery and will need to stay in the hospital for at least another month. Right now, she is unable to sit up or move much, and her recovery will be slow and difficult. Her husband is by her side in the hospital and unable to work, and they have two children at home. Thea is also working hard to get on the transplant list, hoping for a brighter future.

One of the biggest challenges Thea faces is getting in and out of her own home. We’ve had several people come out to see about building a wheelchair ramp, but her yard is too small for one. The only safe solution is a wheelchair lift, which is expensive and not covered by insurance. We want to do everything we can to keep Thea at home with her family and avoid her being placed in a nursing home. Any funds raised will go directly toward purchasing and installing the lift, and if there is anything extra, it will help cover their monthly bills while her husband is unable to work.
