Help the Zartler Family Through Karl's Stage 4 Cancer

Karl Zartler and his family have heard the words “You Have Cancer” twice. Karl has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Colorectal Cancer with full infiltration to his liver and pelvic area. He has had a biopsy, colonoscopy, scans, and blood work to confirm the diagnosis. He had a procedure for a port. Today, Karl began palliative chemo and palliative care. There is no cure. The goal is quality of life and pain relief. We are also hoping that chemo will stop the spread to other organs. Karl, his wife Lynnette, and their son are still trying to process this diagnosis. They are going through the motions, putting one foot in front of the other. The Zartlers need your financial help. Please, if you are able, anything helps. They are traveling daily for treatment. With your help, they can focus on Karl and their family without the huge financial burden of expenses.

In 2014, Karl was diagnosed with Liposarcoma, a rare aggressive sarcoma cancer. He had several surgeries, radiation, and treatment. He fought this cancer for many years. Karl was told if he made it to the 10-year mark, he wouldn’t have to keep looking over his shoulder and could relax. The 10-year mark was in April 2024. He has had clear scans the last few years, so we were so very hopeful that he would be fine. The two cancers are not related to each other.

Karl loves life. He loves the outdoors. He was very athletic as a surfer and a snowboarder and was looking forward to this season on the mountains. He has never met a stranger; he considers everyone a friend. Please help the Zartlers. Thank you so much.
