Hello! We're the Yslas-Burk family. Please take a minute to read our story.

Allyson is the sole breadwinner for the family while Jae cares for our kids and manages the household. Allyson has had good employment, but was laid off with 2200 other folks in March 2023. After this, she has been searching high and low for a job that will allow us to pay the bills. This has been a brutal job market. After ~300 applications, dozens of interviews and hundreds of sleepless nights; the hunt continues with no success so far. She will continue to search day after day, but we've run out of options. We are going to have to leave our beloved Pacific Northwest and all of our friends and family here.

We are very fortunate to have a family member stepping up to allow us to live with them while Allyson continues to look for work, but we need to get from our home in Portland, Oregon to our new home in Arlington, Texas. That's where you can help. We need to raise funds for the moving truck, gas on the way, a brake job on our car and funds to continue to carry us through for bills like our phones and groceries.
