Help the York Family in Their Time of Need

Update: We got Amanda’s MRI results back and they were not good at all. She has extensive brain damage. I honestly don’t where things will go from here. I can say all of us have big faith in God and know he is a God of miracles so we aren’t giving up yet. I’ll give more details later today. We just ask that everyone continue to pray for a miraculous healing. 

Update: Today is a crucial day. The Drs will be doing another MRI to check for possible slow-progressed brain damage. We are praying that is not the case. Amanda's spinal fluid came back negative for infection, as well as her rapid blood culture. There is another virus the doctors are looking into but it's super low on the chances. Amanda was vomiting a lot last night. The Doctors are still telling us that she is a medical mystery. They can not find the source of her lowered brain function. Her flexes are present but minimal. The positive thing about her gagging and vomiting is that it means her brainstem is working and communicating with her body. She is no longer on high doses of meds so at this point we are waiting for the MRI and for her to wake up. To know the York family is to know unconditional love, laughs, kindness, loyalty, and commitment. Amanda York is the wife of Misty York and mom of 4 active children ages 1.5-19. Amanda was at work on Friday, Jan 31st, and fainted. EMS was called and decided to transport her to Piedmont Athens Regional. While in transport, Amanda became unresponsive and quit breathing on her own. She had to be intubated while in the ambulance. Once arriving at the hospital, she was placed in ICU and put under a medically induced coma. Doctors discovered she was having excessive seizures. However, they have not figured out what is causing all this. She has been unable to breathe on her own since passing out on Friday.

This GoFundMe will help with all upcoming medical bills and household bills as they were a 3-income household. Amanda brought in 2 of the lines of income. Misty is also currently out of work to be with Amanda. Their 4 children are currently staying with family members. As of now, the future of this family is unknown. There's no way to know what damage has been done to Amanda's brain due to the seizures until she wakes up.
