Help the Yantz's rebuild after total loss

Donation protected

Please help our parents rebuild during this time of complete loss and unexpected tragedy.
Bill and Debbie Yantz are now victims of Grand Theft Auto and complete loss of everything they owned. Anything can and will help assist in this unforeseen transitional period.

Our sweet, precious parents, Bill and Debbie Yantz, both 70 years old, had been making plans for years to start their retirement and a new chapter of life closer to their daughters and grandson in California. They sold the family home in Nashville, TN, packed up everything into a 20ft rented U-haul, and began their 1,777 mile journey across the country from Nashville, TN to their final destination in Henderson, NV.

Tired and run down from the move and the long journey, they decided to stay at a hotel for a few days while they house hunted in the area. They came back to the hotel after a long day of searching for a new home, where they would retire and enjoy the rest of their lives closer to their family, and the U-haul filled with all of their belongings was gone. Stolen. Unfortunately there is no video surveillance at the location it was stolen and there is no GPS locator on the U-haul. Currently, the police have no trace of the truck themselves, and have yet to locate or find the stolen U-haul.

It breaks our hearts to write this because we are all currently trying to digest and come to terms with everything being gone, but we are deeply grateful they were not harmed or injured. The truck held our family heirlooms, loved ones ashes, family pictures/videos, my father’s vintage guitars/amps, vintage guns, all their clothes and shoes, kitchen belongings, passports, legal papers and documents, furniture, etc. The list goes on and on. Their entire 50 year lives in a 20ft truck.

Unfortunately, right now my parents only have the pair of shoes they’ve worn on their feet since leaving Nashville, two bags of luggage, and the car they own. They currently do not have any source of income, so our hope in setting up this GoFundMe page is to have this money assist my parents with their basic needs and necessities (clothes, food, shelter, pain & suffering) during this tragic transitional period. On a brighter note, we did find out that the home insurance they had in Nashville will cover some of the stolen property, and the car insurance will cover most of the U-haul vehicle stolen, but everything that matters to our family is gone.

Bill and Debbie will be celebrating 51 years of Marriage on November 28, 2019. They are loved and appreciated by every human they encounter and have always been well respected throughout their communities and churches. They both are remaining as faithful as they can throughout this horrific incident. Our hope as their daughters is to show them there are still good people in the world who will shine light over them during this dark time. Our hope is that we can take this evil, criminal act, and fill each crack it has made in our family with pure gold. At the end of the day, they both stated they are just grateful to be alive and especially grateful for their family. If you are unable to donate, its ok. Your love and prayers will mean just as much to us.

Dawn will soon break and the sun will rise again.
Believe with us, but most of all THANK YOU to those who can help.
We love you.
God Bless,
Alicia Katy Yantz, Jessica Lee Houser, & Christa Dejarnett
