“My name is Samantha Woods, and my family has suffered an unimaginable loss. Our home of four generations was destroyed, leaving over 10 family members homeless. This house was more than just a place to live—it was a safe haven, a cornerstone of our community, and the only home most of us have ever known.

We are grateful that everyone escaped alive, but the challenges are overwhelming. My 82-year-old grandmother, who was trapped during the fire, now requires an oxygen tank for survival. My father, Chris, already struggling with heart problems and arthritis, has been unable to work consistently, leaving us with no savings or insurance to recover from this disaster.

Most of us escaped with only the clothes on our backs. Sadly, looters have already stolen what little we had left. We are starting from nothing.

I’ve taken in many of my family members myself, but the weight of this tragedy is too heavy to bear alone. We urgently need:

• Basic toiletries (soap, shampoo, deodorant, laundry detergent )

• Bottled water and food vouchers or gift cards

• Twin-size mattresses and bedding

• Financial assistance for bills, medical expenses, and rebuilding our lives.

If you knew my family personally you’d know anyone of us would give you the shirt off our back, we’ve touched and helped so many people throughout the years. This is very very tough for us to now be the ones in need of assistance.
