Donate to help the Woodards recover stolen funds

I have become very close to the Woodard family in the past couple years through Marilee, and I'm fundraising on their behalf to help them 1) recover funds lost in a ransomware attack and 2) continue to cope with the terrible tragedy suffered just over 4 months ago. The amazingly talented, intelligent, and generous Garrett Woodard was lost to suicide on February 16 of this year. He was to graduate from Yale with a degree in architecture just 3 months later. He had an infectious smile and possessed a preternatural ability to make those around him comfortable and at ease. He had visionary talents and a visionary mind and the world lost precious color and substance on that February day. His mother Susan has been planning to honor him on his birthday in August by renting a cabin in the mountains of western North Carolina that could accommodate several of his closest friends traveling from all over for the occasion. This plan, and indeed the plan to just get by, is in jeopardy today after Susan lost over 8000 dollars in a ransomware attack. I want to encourage people to donate anything they can to help the Woodards recover the funds they've lost. There are losses that cannot be recovered, but this 8500 dollars isn't one of them, and its recovery will lead directly to the proper commemoration of a beautiful soul and wonderful son and brother on what would have been his 24th birthday.
Note: In the unlikely event that the government can assist in retrieving the lost funds, then your donations will be reimbursed. Thank you
