On the evening of June 8th, at around 10:00pm, a fierce and violent storm swept through our community, bringing high winds, torrential rain, and a barrage of thunder and lightning. Amid this chaos, tragedy struck when lightning hit the home of my dear neighbors—the Wolfe family.

By God’s grace, no one was home at the time of the strike. But what happened next was nothing short of a miracle in motion. Thanks to the quick thinking and selfless bravery of nearby neighbors and local first responders, all four of the Wolfe’s beloved dogs were rescued from the home. Their lives were spared, and we are eternally grateful. However, the family has still suffered a tremendous and heartbreaking loss.

Their home—filled with memories, comfort, and safety—was severely damaged. What wasn’t taken by fire has been devastated by smoke and water. The Wolfe family now faces the daunting task of rebuilding their lives from the ground up.
