Hello! My name is Chip Wolf. I am getting prepared for
another hip replacement. I am disabled, but hold down
a full time job with a local alarm company. I had a severe
fall 15 years ago. It led to getting my left hip replaced
in 2006. I continued working and climbing ladders. I fell
again in 2009, exploding my tibia plateau. Fortunately I had insurance, which covered most of the surgeries and hospital bills, but the year of missed wages took a toll. I have worked hard to be able to walk again and hold down a full time job the past eight years. Istill use my wheelchair quite a bit but I do walk quite a bit. Now, my right hip requires replacement.. I am scheduled for the hip surgery on April 25th next month. I am expected to miss six weeks of work. Two of those weeks will be covered by vacation that I have worked for. The remaining four weeks without work are of great concern. I am still paying medical bills from the past several years. I just don't want to get further and further into debt. I am still going to have my job when I get through this. It will be much harder this time, with a shattered right leg. I have never asked for help before, but I am now. I have walkers, wheelhairs, canes, etc. The purpose of the funds are to help with expenses during the time that I am off. Knowing that I won't mentally stress out over money will sure help with the physical recovery and get me back to work sooner. I truly appreciate your help!
