To our Walled Lake Central community and surrounding areas. Let it be known that on September 15, 2025, we, the boys of Walled Lake Central Soccer, donated more than $5200 to Game On Cancer.
Every year, the boys of Walled Lake Central hold an annual charity game. It is tradition for the seniors on the team to decide the official charity for the game. This year, the decision was unanimous and emphatic: Game On Cancer.
Earlier this year, Walled Lake Central soccer coach Joel Sharpe was diagnosed and treated for tongue cancer. Fortunately, Coach Sharpe had a network of support to help him fight and win his battle.
Unfortunately, there are people fighting cancer who don’t have a team around them, or the financial means to weather the storm.
Cancer and cancer treatment often result in lost wages, adding stress to an already difficult situation. Game On Cancer has helped more than 12,000 patients and their families cover the cost of housing, food, utility bills and transportation to treatment.
100% of every penny raised through Game On Cancer helps patients and families cover their most pressing costs.
While this fundraiser has ended, the team encourages you to continue being generous for this wonderful cause. Use this link to donate directly to Game On Cancer.
Thank you for your unbelievable show of support and love!
All the best,
The Boys of Walled Lake Central Soccer
