My name is Cory and after honorably serving my country, I’m now facing one of the hardest transitions of my life, and I’m humbly asking for support as I work to rebuild stability.
I’m currently going through a difficult period where I am in between jobs and doing everything I can to get back on stable footing.
At the same time, I’m dealing with ongoing pain in both of my feet due to metal hardware from foot surgeries that were the result of my active duty service.
Recently, this pain has severely worsened and has been further aggravated by standing and walking for long periods of time, which has made it very difficult for me to maintain consistent employment in my fields of expertise.
I am also currently working through the process with the Department of Veterans Affairs to get the care and support I need.
However, as many veterans know, this is not a quick process and can take time to move through.
I’ve also reached out to both local and national resources for assistance, but unfortunately many of them are very limited in what they can provide due to their own funding constraints and availability.
This GoFundMe is to help me cover basic living expenses while I navigate this phase of my life and focus on my health and recovery.
My goal is simply to stay afloat, manage my medical needs, and get back to a stable place where I can fully support myself and my family again.
This has placed an enormous emotional and financial strain on our family, and we’ve reached a point where we truly need help.
If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing this with those you know would mean more than words can express.
Thank you for taking the time to read, share, and support in any way you can.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Cory
