My name is Elaine Wilson and my heart is so heavy as I write this, I’m still in disbelief that this is our reality.

My husband Arnell Wilson. An amazing Father, fun, loving, humble family man has diagnosed with stage 4 head & neck cancer on 11/21/21 at age 50. This was unexpected & devastating news for me, our 5 children, 2 grand babies, family & friends. The Doctors told us his cancer is very aggressive & is called ( HPV Negative) Oropharyngeal cancer.

The initial treatment plan that was presented to heal my husband and has a successful cure rate, unfortunately, he had a severe allergic reaction to the medicine & ended up in the hospital. For the past 18 months, my poor husband has been thru numerous brutal treatment plans including radiation, chemotherapy, & immunotherapy. Four months into radiation treatment it became difficult for Hubby to swallow & eat. He had to get a feeding tube placed in his stomach for nutrition. Unfortunately, none of the treatment plans have worked. All while his cancer has now metastasized to lymph nodes in his neck leaving a large protruding tumor that requires daily wound care. His cancer has also metastasized to his lungs, hip, rib, and spine. It’s all too much to bare most times but we remain hopeful that something will work for him. Arnell has been hospitalized on numerous occasions for sepsis, dehydration and needing blood transfusions. Not only has he lost over 150 pounds, but the tumor on his neck also continues to grow daily. His oncology team has now suggested Hospice care and that unfortunately, his cancer is just too aggressive.

I share this with all of you in need of everyone’s help and prayers. Being my husband’s caregiver throughout this whole process is overwhelming and heartbreaking while balancing working as a full-time Makeup Artist. Trying to provide for my husband's needs and also provide for our children has been challenging. I come to you in my most vulnerable time to ask for help. Any donations will go to cover expenses related to Hubby's care/ emergency house repairs, bills, & the Wilson family.
