On Tuesday, 4/22/25, a fire broke out at the Willmering family's home while the family was away. The family came home in time to discover the fire and attempt to save their pets. They were able to get their cats out, but unfortunately, they lost their dog, Peanut to the fire. Most importantly, the Willmering family is okay, but they will now be out of their home for at least six months and will have many unplanned expenses.

The fire started in the living room where there is significant damage. Many things in their home will have to be thrown out due to smoke damage. Thankfully, they have home insurance and are working with insurance now, but we know going through insurance is often a slow process. We are starting this GoFundMe to help support them for uncovered expenses and what they will need to replace immediately.
