Supporting the Williams Family During an Unimaginable Loss
My name is Julie, and I am a family friend of the Williams family. My daughter was in band with DJ, and through that connection and the deep care of the Riverside High School community, I, along with the Riverside Band Boosters and some dedicated teaching staff, am helping coordinate this fundraising effort.
The Williams family is facing a tragedy no family should ever have to endure.
Just two weeks ago, the family was devastated by the sudden and unexpected passing of James Williams, a loving father and husband. While they were still trying to process this heartbreaking loss and navigate finances, the unthinkable happened once again.
Yesterday evening, Sharon Williams, a devoted mother, daughter, and wife, tragically lost her life in a car accident.
In a matter of days, their children have lost both parents. Left behind in the home is a high school-aged son, two younger sisters and their 94-year-old grandmother, who also depended on James and Sharon. An aunt and uncle have stepped forward to help care for the children and provide stability during this overwhelming time and hopefully going forward, but the emotional and financial strain of two sudden losses so close together is immense.
This fundraiser has been created to help support the Williams family during this unimaginable period of grief. All proceeds will be used toward funeral expenses and other appropriate and needs as the family works to care for the children and honor James and Sharon.
If you are able to give, any amount, no matter how small, it will help. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page and keeping the Williams family in your thoughts and prayers.
With permission and on behalf of the Williams family, and all of us in the Riverside High School community, thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support during this incredibly difficult time. ❤️
