Help the Wilde Flores Family
Donation protected
Hello everyone -
As you may or may not know, Alona shattered her foot on Friday, October 8th, was hospitalized the same day until she underwent her first surgery on October 11th. Unfortunately, the injury to her foot was extensive, and a second surgery was necessary. Her second surgery was on November 1st. Her injury is called a “Lisfranc” fracture/dislocation, a serious, rare and challenging injury from which to recover.
Her prognosis is good, but she will not even begin relearning how to walk until at least March of 2022! This injury comes at the worst possible time for the family - Alona was in the process of onboarding to an exciting, lucrative, new job. Unfortunately, life had other plans and the family has gone from two incomes to one in a matter of hours. We all told ourselves that this was a little set back. Now, there's the slow realization that being on her feet for any length of time will result in major swelling and pain, and future employment is in the distant future at best. In addition, the family now has large medical bills coming in, an un-drivable car that needs repairs, and the holidays right around the corner. They fear this is the time things start getting critical. No holidays this year, especially for the children on top of extra bills and one less paycheck, indefinitely...
Any donation you can spare would be a tremendous help to them. The family is very uncomfortable asking for help, but they are in a dire situation with few options. 'Tis the giving season and any donation will directly help our friends because having life changing injuries just before the holidays and new year can't be easy on anyone.
Thank you to everyone who has helped them so far since this injury occurred, and to you for reading this so far. Please share this as much as possible so we can help this family get back on their feet - literally!
