Supporting Brandon Wieler & his Family (Natasha, Emily, Elliott, & Baby Wieler)
On January 5th, 2026 Brandon and Natasha heard the heartbreaking words “We see cancer in your colon as well as spots on your liver.”
In December Brandon’s health started to decline, initially each time he went for help, no investigation was done. The symptoms started with feeling constipated. This was followed by extreme fatigue, weakness, appetite changes, night sweats and losing a significant amount of weight. Brandon and Natasha were feeling unheard, worried, and frustrated.
After constantly advocating and returning for help from doctors, they were sent for a CT and a colonoscopy on January 4th, which lead to the diagnosis of stage 4 colon cancer which had metastasized to his liver.
Thereafter were referred to Oncology with an appointment date of February 11th.
In the meantime due to the increased pain and discomfort, they kept continuously returning for care, pain management, and pleading to go to Winnipeg sooner. Brandon has been in and out of the hospital while
Natasha has been trying to be in 3 different places at once - with Brandon, with the kids, and at work to provide financially. They have tried to stay positive for their kids, and tried everything within their means, homeopathic and naturopathic until they can proceed with treatment at cancer care.
Because Brandon (age 34) and Natasha are expecting their third baby in May, their hope was to travel to Mexico to receive care, however the cancer has deteriorated his body to the point where travel is not an option at this moment. They are trying to keep their faith strong, and have hope that he can regain strength to go.
On January 29th, an additional CT confirmed that the cancer is very aggressive. It had again spread and increased in size. With the devastating news that there are lesions on his lungs, the cancer is compromising
the liver, and pushing on many other organs.
They have been repeatedly told by doctors that this is incurable and may not have the chance at receiving treatment.
“Brandon deserves the chance, he deserves to fight, so here we stand asking for help”
- Natasha
Brandon went from working 12-14 hours a day in the mechanic shop (started by his late father, Vern, and that Brandon helped build) on Brandon & Natasha’s yard. He was so involved at home and loves his family deeply, but soon began not to have the energy to participate. He started slowing down in December. And as January approached he was struggling to go the
shop for a couple hours. By the end of January (now) he doesn’t have the strength to get to the shop at all.
Brandon’s appointment with the oncologist has been moved up to February 2nd. More updates will follow.
They are urgently asking for donations to help with expenses, supplement lost incomes, any medical equipment, or possible medical treatment not covered by Manitoba Health, and for the future of their kids
and baby. With the realization, without a miracle, they will need funds for a funeral.
Prayers for the family are greatly appreciated.
Any amount you can give would help the Wieler’s immensely.
Donations can also be given at any Access Credit Union branch under “Wieler Family Donation Account.”
