Hey everyone! For those of you who don't know, I'm Lucy's younger sister, Nina. I'm creating this fundraiser because this sweet, little family of three needs your help.

Before their perfect boy, Tatum, joined them, Bimi and Lucy were your typical high school turned college sweethearts. They were inseparable for as long as I can remember. I think I always knew they'd end up together, have 5-6 kids, and live their lives as one big, happy family. However, this isn't how things have played out. Right after Bimi graduated college, Lucy found out she was pregnant. I still remember sitting with her, seeing the positive pregnancy test, and being overjoyed that not only would I get to see my sister become a mom, but that I was gaining a nephew! Nine months later, I was anxiously pacing in the waiting room with both of our massive families until Bimi came out to let us know that Tatum was finally here, and he and Lucy were both happy and healthy! Watching Lucy and Bimi in that delivery room melt into the eyes of their precious newborn baby reaffirmed it for me; Lucy and Bimi were made to be parents.

Fast forward 9 years later, Bimi and Lucy tied the knot, Tate is a thriving artist, athlete, and dinosaur connoisseur, and their doggos Belle and Lila have joined them. However, behind the scenes, Lucy and Bimi have been trying to have another child for the longer end of five years--without success. Prayer after prayer, tear after tear, you can only imagine the disappointment and frustration. This has landed them in the mindset of, "We'll do whatever it takes!" Bimi and Lucy have had countless blood tests, infertility tests, doctor's appointments, and tracking ovulation all the way through diets, acupuncture, holistic specialists, really anything you can think of. I even whipped out my crystals and did manifestations and energy clearing rituals, ha! All of this to simply find out they were reproductively healthy, yet somehow still infertile. This led Lucy and Bimi to conversations with their specialists about their treatment options, the main two being IUI (Intrauterine Insemination) and IVF (In Vitro Fertilization). Right before Lucy and Bimi submitted their paperwork and deposit for IUI, Lucy found out she was pregnant! We thought all prayers were answered until she received news at an appointment that there was no heartbeat anymore. Lucy and Bimi used the next 6 months as a break from trying to conceive. Finally, with uplifted spirits, they decided to proceed with IUI since it's the first and least expensive step. Sadly, this resulted in a dissapointment as well. The specialists have told them they have no reason to believe IUI or IVF wouldn't work for them. However, after the failed IUI, doctor's strongly recommended skipping another round of IUI and jumping right into the advanced treatment of IVF. This leads me to the creation of this GoFundMe.

The process of IVF is removing one or more eggs from the ovaries that are then fertilized by sperm inside of a laboratory. Once fertilized, the eggs are then transferred back into the uterus. One full cycle of IVF takes about three weeks and costs around $13,000. This is where I humbly ask for help on Lucy, Bimi, and Tate's behalf. If you can't help financially, please share this with whoever you please, pray hard, or even send words of encouragement to Lucy and Bimi. They have shown immense patience, strength, determination, and obedience during this painful struggle. As Lucy's sister it makes my heart ache in ways I can't describe knowing that Lucy and Bimi are the most amazing parents, but can't seem to conceive another child. As Tate's aunt, it's almost excruciating to seem him grow up without a sibling; he'd be the best big brother. If you all know anything about Tate, you know that they are amazing, loving, and devoted parents who deserve their happy ending. I can't imagine a more deserving trio for this treatment in hopes that it will complete their family. Please help their dream come true by helping us reach $10,000 for IVF treatment.
