During the devastating Pacific Palisades wildfire, Roxanne “Rocket” White lost everything. Her beloved home, built by her parents in the 1950s, was reduced to ashes in a single night. This wasn’t just a house—it was a family heirloom, a symbol of love and resilience, and a place where generations of memories were made. It was the home where Roxanne grew up, where she raised her two daughters, and where she spent her entire life. Now, it’s gone.
Unlike many of her Malibu neighbors, Roxanne didn’t come to this community seeking fame or fortune. She isn’t a celebrity or part of the Hollywood elite. Roxanne has been here long before Malibu became synonymous with glitz and glamour. She stayed, despite the soaring costs of living, because this home was her anchor, her sanctuary, and her family’s legacy.
As a member of Los Angeles’ working class, Roxanne has spent her life behind the scenes, contributing to the city’s vibrant heart. But living and working in this city as a member of the working class is challenging—especially in areas like Malibu, where the cost of living is overwhelming. For Roxanne, her home was more than just a roof over her head; it was her stability in an unstable world. The wildfire didn’t just destroy her home; it took away her sense of security and her connection to her past.
We’re asking for your help to support Roxanne right now in these difficult times. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference. Together, we can help her start over and create a new chapter.
Please donate if you can, and share Roxanne’s story to help us reach those who might be able to contribute. Thank you for your support.
