My name is Noah, and I am part of the West family. My Mama calls us the Westhouse 7. I am 17 years old and the second oldest of five children. My parents have been together for 27 years and are truly incredible, but currently, our family is facing a monumental challenge: my mother is battling a rare and complicated health condition.
While we are still seeking a definitive diagnosis for her, we know her illness is directly connected to her father’s health history. This connection is further evidenced by one of her sisters, who is currently experiencing paralleling symptoms also tied to their father’s past.
Our grandfather served in the Vietnam War, where he faced significant dioxin exposure, and was deemed 100% disabled by the U.S. Army, where he was honorably discharged. Sadly, he passed away on January 15th, 2026, after fighting multiple cancers, including untreatable lung cancer with some cancers that began when he was 28 years old. My papa was a blessed man to live 77 years. The health struggles my mother and her sister are enduring now, we believe, are a result of that generational exposure, and it has been an incredibly difficult journey for our entire family.
My mom has always been a fighter, a woman who put her husband, children, and her home first long before her own health began to decline. Watching her struggle daily is heartbreaking; she is 43 years old and has gone from 160 lbs to 110 lbs in just the last two years, and she is continuing to struggle to maintain nutrition. I am profoundly grateful to have her as my mother. We currently live in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where I was born and raised, but the specialized care she requires is not available here.
We have found the care and hope she needs at a specialty hospital in Texas and have the goal of getting her there as soon as possible for her to get established with the specialized care team she needs. This move is our best chance at seeing her healthy again.
We are asking for your support to help cover the essential costs of this transition, including:
Relocation & Moving Expenses: Moving a family of seven across state lines.
Housing: Securing a stable home near the treatment facilities in Texas.
Medical Care: Covering the specialized treatments and any possible out-of-pocket costs.
Any amount you can contribute will bring us one step closer to the care my mom desperately needs. Thank you for your kindness, your prayers, and your generosity—it truly means the world to us. All glory to God, and may He bless you for your compassion and may it be returned to you 7 fold for whatever you sow into our family.
"I'm standing on this word for my Mama. "
But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,' declares the Lord.
