Help the Weintraub Family
The Farley Open Committee is pleased to announce their support for the Weintraub family as the 2021 charity beneficiary.
Deb and Dan Weintraub have been married since 2013. The Weintraubs have two children Derek (13) and Madison (7). Derrick has high functioning Autism and Deb is a tremendous advocate for her son. Dan is an Air Force veteran and currently works as an operations/program manager at the Chester County Airport. Deb has been an ICU nurse for 9 years and worked the last 2 years at Einstien Montgomery. The last year has been a whirlwind for Deb. Beginning in the spring of last year working with COVID patients in the ICU, then getting COVID herself in the fall. Shortly after Deb got Mono for a month. And then the worst news came in March of 2021, Deb found a lump in her breast. She was quickly diagnosed with an invasive ductal carcinoma with lymph node involvement, currently between stage 2 and 3. It is triple negative breast cancer which is one of the most aggressive kinds.
Deb started weekly chemo treatment in May 2021 and has so far undergone 4 chemo treatments. She is currently getting a medicine called the “red devil” and has experienced many side effects – lack of appetite, nausea, tiredness. As a result of COVID, she must undergo her treatment alone with no support persons. So far scans have showed the tumor shrinking which is great news. Deb still has an invasive surgery in front of her as well as additional treatments.
Due to treatment, she has taken a medical leave from her regular job as an ICU nurse at Einstein Montgomery. As a result of losing an income, the Weintraubs are facing an uphill battle. The Farley Open family has been so generous with their support in past years, and we ask you to once again show love, prayers, and financial support to a wonderful family who is currently experiencing some struggles.

The Farley Open is an annual golf outing started by Bob Farley Sr. As a way to gather friends and family for a fun weekend of golf. The weekend has turned into more than golf and for over the last 10 years, the outing has chosen a family struggling to support financially. The current golf outing is led by Bob Farley Jr. and a group of dedicated family and friends in the greater Philadelphia area. All of the funds raised from the golf outing goes directly to the family during a check presentation after the golf outing in early October.
