Help the Weinkauf family to rebuild their home

On Saturday, October 2, 2021 an electrical fire started in the basement of Jerry and Kathy Weinkauf's home. The fire started at an electrical outlet that had nothing plugged into it. A mattress was near the outlet. We are very fortunate that Kathy and Nick were able to get out. Jerry, who has been battling health issues, has been in a rehab hospital and was not at home during the time of the fire.

Jerry and Kathy and family have lived in this home since 1987. They have worked hard over many years to create a home that is welcoming and loving. We are filled with so much love and gratefulness that no one was hurt during this tragedy. The house is not inhabitable. Insurance will help cover the costs to rebuild and replace the material things that were lost or damaged. Kathy and Nick will be at a hotel until temporary housing can be found.

As we all know there are so many costs as you try to sort an overwhelming event like this out. If you feel like you could help with a monetary donation it would be greatly appreciated. If you live in the area and would like to donate a restaurant gift card that would be helpful too.

Once again our family has felt such love and kindness from the community within the first 3 days and we thank you from the bottoms of our hearts.
