We are Blake and Maddie Wearren, owners of Delisheeyo on Hilton Head Island and parents to our 8 month old baby Millie. Our restaurant has always been a place where we pour our hearts into nourishing our community. Today, we're humbly asking for help after experiencing two life-changing tragedies in a single day.
WHAT HAPPENED
Early in the morning, around 2:30am, we received a call that someone had driven directly into the front of Delisheeyo. The damage is extensive and may force us to close during one of the busiest weeks of the year—our main season for supporting our family and our staff.
Just hours later, before we could even process what had happened, our home caught fire and was quickly engulfed in flames. We are safe, but nearly everything we own has been lost to fire or smoke damage. With a young baby, the impact is overwhelming.
WHY WE NEED HELP
We are grateful to have family nearby and a temporary place to stay, but the road ahead is heavy. We are facing:
- Loss of income from the restaurant closure
- Replacing essential items for our baby
- Clothing, supplies, and basic household needs
- Temporary housing expenses
- Supporting our staff during the downtime
We’ve always tried to show up for our community through our food, our space, and our hearts. Now we’re in a position where we need that same love returned.
HOW DONATIONS WILL HELP
Funds raised will go directly toward:
- Getting Delisheeyo up and going
- Replacing lost belongings
- Baby essentials
- Temporary housing
- Emergency expenses
- Stabilizing our family while we rebuild our lives
Every donation—no matter the amount—makes a real difference.
Thank you for reading, sharing, and supporting us during the hardest moment of our lives. We are deeply grateful for this community and the love we’ve already felt. We will rebuild, and your support helps us.
