Hi, my name is Danielle. My little sister Nardia, her partner Andy, our family + her entire world are asking for your help to fund her next cancer treatment as it is not covered by our public or private health systems.

Here is the backstory to her 5 year fight:

In 2020 Nards discovered a small SCC (Squamous Cell Carcinoma) which had metastasized to her neck & leg. This led to a neck dissection & 33 rounds of radiation. Unfortunately, 6 weeks after, at her post recovery appointment we discovered the same situation had occurred on the other side, which meant going back in for another neck dissection & 33 rounds of radiation. Long story short, the cancer has continued to spread, and whilst some treatments have worked remarkably, like the immunotherapy she is currently on is unfortunately not effective for the cancers in her abdomen & neck, hence me asking for money to help pay for the treatment that we hope will work.

The drug Nards oncologist is hoping will work is a 4 x session intravenous drug called IPILIMUMAB, with each session costing $8K with the total equating to $32K. This drug has been incredibly effective for melanoma & is showing positive signs in SCC treatment. Nard's partner Andy has been an INCREDIBLE support to my little sister during this 5 year period. Nards has been unable to work due to her illness, therefore Andy has not only shown support emotionally, but also financially with no complaints; however, a $32k medical bill is just something he simply cannot afford alongside living costs, mortgage, bills etc. For this reason, I want to help take the pressure off them in this way.

The support Nards, myself & all of our family have received over this period has been immense! We couldn't get through the dark days without the love & support from our friends, which is why we do not feel overly comfortable asking for this money. However, if it means I get to have more time with my sister, I will ask again & again & again.
