Jerry and Christine (Ryan) Walters lost their home and all of their possessions in a disastrous house fire Wednesday, August 21, 2024. Thankfully, they were able to make it out of the house safely; however, their cats Pete and Marvin did not survive. Christine has been a teacher at Niles City Schools for over 30 years. Her husband, Jerry, is employed at Clark Dietrich in Warren, Ohio. Their daughter, Jacklyn (Ryan) Raketa, is a teacher at South Range Middle School and teaches ELA. Their son, Jarrett Walters, is a musician and will be joining the Holland America cruise line to perform on the Rotterdam in October.
