On the morning of September 14, 2025, a fire broke out in the kitchen of the Walker family’s first home. What was meant to be the start of an exciting new chapter quickly turned into heartbreak as the fire spread, destroying the kitchen, roof, and living room, and leaving the rest of the house with severe smoke damage. Thankfully, no one was injured—but their new home is now unlivable for at least six months.

The Walkers are facing tremendous uncertainty and many unexpected expenses as they search for temporary housing and begin the long process of restoring their home.
