Help the Voorhees Swim Club stay Afloat

The Voorhees Swim Club (aka Sturbridge Woods Swim Club) and its swim team have been in operation since 1992. Families have spent summer after summer enjoying the pool and the connections made at both the pool and from being on the Stingrays Swim Team.
Due to Covid-19 and unexpected repairs over the last few years, we find ourselves in a dire situation. As a privately owned club, we have two ways to earn income to pay our bills – memberships and fundraising/events. Unfortunately, with the current climate of uncertainty, most of our fundraising is now canceled and many members are unsure if they will join this summer.
We still do not know if we will be able to open and what the restrictions might be. We have fixed costs that will need to be funded regardless if the pool is open or closed. Having a pool that is not able to be maintained will have a negative impact on the community in which we live.
We do not reach out to you lightly. We have explored other possible options, but we are at the point where we feel we must reach out to friends and family. Our hope is to make it through this uncertain summer and be back next summer to support our community and be there for our members, current and new. It would be heartbreaking to close the pool for good. We hope we can count on your support and participation.
