On August 12, 2025, our dear friend and former coworker, Jim Villalon, and his wife, Doreen, experienced the unimaginable loss of their 13-year-old daughter, Doreen Allison “Melina” Villalon.

Doreen was a bright light—full of love, laughter, and creativity. She touched everyone she met with her kindness, adventurous spirit, and genuine heart. Her sudden passing has left a hole in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

In the coming days, Jim’s extended family will be traveling from near and far to be together for her memorial service. We want to rally around the Villalon family to ease even the smallest burdens during this time of grief. The funds raised here will go directly toward providing meals, support, and comfort for the family as they gather, mourn, and celebrate Melina’s life.
