    SAN ANTONIO - A 17-year-old driver suspected of intoxication ran a red light and slammed into an SUV overnight, killing three people.
The Bexar County Medical Examiner has identified the three killed in the overnight crash as Daniel Valenzuela, 37, Daniel Valenzuela Sr, 69 and Andrea Uvalle, 84. Daniel served his community for 14 years as a police officer, he was sergeant at MCH police department in Odessa Tx. He was a husband , Father of five , and a grandfather of 2. He was loved by everyone he came across, His father was a ordained deacon in the Catholic Church for over 20 years, he was Husband, father of 4, a grandfather of 16, and a great grandfather of 2 with 1 on the way. His grandmother found joy by making cascarones year around for everyone to enjoy by Easter time. His sister was also in the car, she has non life threatening injuries but she is survivor, she has a husband,3 children and one grand baby on the way . They all spent their final memories together at the los bukis concert in San Antonio, having the time of their lives. Please share and help this family with the tragic loss of their loved ones

The Ector County Hospital District Police Department and Medical Center Health System are mourning the loss of Sgt. Daniel Valenzuela Jr., who was killed in a traffic accident early Sunday morning in San Antonio, along with his father and grandmother.

Valenzuela was instrumental in all aspects of the police department and MCH. Sgt. Valenzuela was a friend, colleague and an outstanding police officer that has served his community with the utmost integrity and professionalism. Most importantly, he was a good man and he will be dearly missed. We ask the community to keep the Valenzuela family in your thoughts and prayers.”
Sgt. Daniel Valenzuela Jr. - EOW 9/26/2021 Sgt. Valenzuela Jr. started his law enforcement career 13 years ago in Lamesa. He served with the ECHD’s Police Department for the past seven years.
