UPDATE: After an incredibly rough 1.5 months with this company, I am being let go. I made one too many complaints about the way I've been treated here (including not being properly paid for all hours worked on 4 consecutive weekly paychecks). Today I was assigned to work with a child who was coughing relentlessly, was short of breath, and clearly had a fever to the touch. The company decided not to send the child home as they "did not have a fever", according to the faulty thermometer that read my temperature as 95.2 last week. I pointed this out and pleaded that the child be sent home as I did not feel comfortable being in such close contact with a child who likely has covid, and they told me to just go home, followed by being asked not to return at all. I live paycheck to paycheck, I have no savings, I am the main source of income in my family as my wife is a disabled full time student. Without support, I have no way of pay in the bills to keep myself, my wife and our beloved pets housed and fed. Please consider donating if you can, thank you.
Hi guys,
So as you may know, I recently got a new job. It has been a nightmare to say the least. Not only have they not been paying me properly, but I've been being sent home multiple times due to being over staffed. Now I've come down with flu-like symptoms (covid negative, so far, according to a home test). I had to miss Friday and anticipate that I'll have to miss at least Monday as well because of how sick I am. I am trying to go back to my old job and if everything goes as planned I should be starting within the next couple of weeks. Please help us stay afloat for now while I'm missing so many hours.
