Hi, my name is Lindy. Today I'm asking you to help save my family and our home. We are in danger of it possibly being repossessed.

In the past year, I have had to put both my businesses on hold and take up substitute teaching when school is in session because I wasn't making enough money. Unfortunately, the regular school year has been done for us since mid-May and I have been unable to find work because we have two children and cannot afford daycare and have no friends or family who can help with them. I have a medical condition called shift worker's syndrome and both doctors who diagnosed me said I can't do 2nd or 3rd shift work or it will kill me. We haven't been able to make ends meet for quite some time but have been trying to get by.

We have only one vehicle and my husband works in a warehouse 55 hours a week and has for years. He has degenerative disc disease, arthritis along his spine, several pinched nerves, as well as some bulging and ruptured discs. There have been a lot of doctors' visits and we can't afford any physical therapy or medical treatment that might help him. The one vehicle we have has a bad battery that is limping along and we can't afford to replace it. We both need to renew our driver's licenses and do not have the money to do so.

While trying to keep the utilities on, food in our house, and gas in our truck, we have gotten behind on our mortgage payments. If we miss one more, the mortgage company will start proceedings to repossess our house. The house may need a lot of work, but it's the only home my children have ever known.

I was briefly homeless after I graduated high school. I know what kind of life that is and never want my children to have to experience it. I refuse to give up, which is why I'm setting up this fundraiser. Please, anything you can do to help would be appreciated.
