USF Open Sailing Club needs your help!
At our current pace, the club team has a serious chance at making it to the ICSA National Championships at the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, NY this year, but we need your help to get there.
Our goal is achievable, but it is also expensive. As a club team, we currently receive a majority of our funding through Student Government. As one of the most competitive teams in our conference, our classification as a club sport presents unique expenses that not many other clubs on campus require. Regatta travel (flight, hotel, rental car) and boat maintenance (sails, hardware, and fiberglass repair) being chiefly among them.
Your donations will help us book flights and hotel for regattas that we have in Norfolk, Charleston, Boston, and New Orleans. We have set a goal of $15,000, and with that money we will be sitting in a much better place financially to finish out our season and get to nationals when we qualify.
Money will be deposited into the club presidents account and then transferred to the clubs USF Credit union account owned by the Sailing Club.
