Help the Union Island population recover from the Hurricane
Donation protected
Over a year after Hurricane Beryl, the JT Foundation Inc. was officially created to continue helping everyone on Union Island. A lot has been done by many people, but our foundation focuses on the ones often forgotten, while working to uplift Union Island through hands-on, meaningful projects.
Our goal is to continue the current efforts and launch new initiatives to improve life for the most vulnerable, while also preparing the island for future disasters. From social support to environmental work, every project is aimed at making Union Island a better place to live for its people.
Our directors are not paid through this GoFundMe, and we are fully committed to transparency, with detailed accounting of how every dollar is spent. We focus on maximizing impact, and that’s why we are now raising our goal to unlock more support for the island.
Feel free to donate to this GoFundMe so the funds go toward the JT Foundation until we can create a specific foundation account in the future.
We also welcome donations for specific projects. If you would like to support a particular initiative, visit our new website: www.jtprofoundation.org and get in touch.
ORIGINAL GOFUNDME POST: This feels like a nightmare ! Today one of the strongest hurricane ever recorded in our part of the world has destroyed the Grenadines and Union Island. Everything everyone worked so hard for over the years is gone and destroyed.
I have created this GoFundMe to try and help the local population with everything they need to survive the next most horrible days and weeks as everything is broken and destroyed there is nothing left.
With your funds we will purchase food, supplies generators and as much necessary items to be used by the local population.
We are planing to charter planes to the island once the runway is cleared with supplies.
Martinique is also sending lots of Catamaran down to help with supplies.
This GoFundMe is not a private one.
I am using my personal funds to advance the money so we don’t waste time, all funds will be used for the hurricane relief efforts of Union Island.
