Help the UA Frisbee team practice this spring
Donation protected
Hello, we are the SUNY Albany Ultimate Frisbee team, also known as SCAM. Our team formed in 1977 and we have been competing ever since. Each year we travel up and down the northeast region to compete against other schools all over the nation. In years past we’ve consistently placed on the podium in almost every tournament we’ve entered, and were ranked as the number one team in New York in 2017. We hope to soon bring home more trophies and return our team to the number one spot this season, however, we cannot do this without your support.
We are currently fundraising to pay the expenses it would take for our team to practice this upcoming season. Our current athletic facilities at SUNY Albany are undergoing construction and we have no choice but to look for an alternative facility off campus. These facilities will be expensive, and with a tight budget provided by our school and almost all of it going towards tournament fees and travel expenses, we are looking for you support to help us raise the money we need to practice.
While our team has managed to pool some of our own money together to cover the first few weeks of practice, we are still short on funds to cover the remaining season. We would like to hit our goal by February 11 to secure the remaining weeks of practice before our tournaments start. The more money were able to raise, the more practices we will be able to afford. Any amount you can contribute is very much appreciated. We thank you so much for checking out our GoFundMe page and for sharing this with your family and friends. Our tournament schedule is below, if you’re in the area feel free to come out and cheer on the team.
