Help the Tville Mural Project Grow!

About Tville Mural Project:
Tville Mural Project was started by Husband-and-Wife team Jeff Beck and Adrienne Lortie in Thomasville North Carolina. Jeff and Adrienne reached out to the local community, asking if any businesses were willing to donate wall space for murals to be painted, stipulating that the murals would switch out periodically throughout the year. Four local companies spoke up and donated wall space: The Alibi, Communities in School of Thomasville, Misty’s Bakery and the Thomasville Public Library. A hashtag (#tvillemurals) was created for people to tag when they come to the murals to take photos and selfies.
The first four murals had a theme of “Local Pollinators,” and the businesses could choose between a Hummingbird, Honeybee or Butterfly design, with the library choosing to have a “Book Worm” painted on their wall as books are pollinators of our minds. The mural themes and designs will be changed periodically throughout the year for certain Holidays and special events; with the murals constantly changing, people can visit these businesses and the surrounding area multiple times to increase foot traffic and to keep the community engaged.

How Your Donations Will Help This Project Grow:
Our initial sponsors, PACE Downtown Thomasville and Thomasville Tourism, helped us to get this amazing project off the ground by sponsoring enough to cover supplies and materials for the first wave of murals to be painted. We are looking to expand this project, which means more cost. We want to get one more wall at least and have other artists involved in painting these revolving murals. We donated our time toward this project that we created, but we cannot ask other artists to work for free, so the goal that we have set will help with many things, including more spray paint and supplies to keep the murals regularly changing, helping to compensate other artists that we bring on board, marketing materials for the project and to help jump-start funding for a Weekend Mural Festival in 2023!

Future of the Tville Mural Project:
With additional sponsorship, funding and donations, Tville Mural Project is looking to expand to more walls in the Thomasville area and bring in other local artists to give them a chance to express themselves in large-scale mural form. The project's goal is to become a mural festival where all the murals are being painted simultaneously by different artists. The event would last a weekend, with multiple events going on throughout the festival like art shows, meet and greet with the artists, music, live paintings, art battles, food trucks, pop-up shops, etc. All of this is to help bring the community together through art.

Thank you for your continued support and donations; it is because of you that this project can achieve its goals.
