Help the Tummons Family

Hi everyone, my name is Trish. I’m asking for donations for the Tummons Family.

On March 23, 2022 Mike went to the ER due to head/neck pain, during that visit it was discovered that Mike had a tumor in his brain. That tumor was removed on March 25, 2022 and it was confirmed to be Glioblastoma. Mike was released home after his hospital stay, but on April 3, 2022 he had a stroke that sent him back to the hospital. He has since been admitted to a rehab unit for therapy to prep his body for chemotherapy.

Mike’s wife, Shelley, and I went to nursing school together and from there have maintained our friendship through work life and personal life. She has continued to work as a nurse in the Tulsa and surrounding communities despite all that is going on with her husband and family. The Tummons’ life was turned upside down both financially and emotionally with this unexpected diagnosis.

Mike is a giving and adventurous man, he loves all of his children and his wife. The last thing he would ever want is to NOT be a provider for his family.

Sadly, Mike will be unable to return to work, and the prognosis is terminal. Shelley is doing all she can to keep the family’s finances current, but she just can’t with the loss of Mikes income. As we all know, life doesn’t stop and neither do the bills just because someone is ill.

All money donated goes directly to the Tummons family to cover daily expenses such as gas to drive to and from the hospital to see Mike, groceries, car payments, utilities, cell phone bill, rent/mortgage and any other day to day expenses the family occurs.. The part we don’t want to think about, is the added cost of end of life planning and the additional financial strain that puts on the family.
