At 6 am the morning after Christmas, the Tucker family was woken up with flames and smoke in their attic. All four escaped unharmed
, but their home has suffered devastating fire, smoke, and water damage and is not livable at this time. They are staying with family in the area, but walked out of their home with nothing but the clothes on their backs.
Cari Tucker is a well-respected first-grade teacher at Marsh Creek Elementary in Brentwood, CA. She and her husband Nathan purchased this home 23 years ago and have raised their two girls here. Both girls attended Brentwood schools. Their youngest is currently attending Heritage High School. Their oldest is currently attending Los Medanos College and working as a paraprofessional at a Brentwood school. She has touched the lives of hundreds of students and families over the years in both Brentwood Union Elementary School District and Oakley Union Elementary School District. She has given so much of herself to our community, please help give back to her and her family in their greatest time of need.
We are raising money to assist them in purchasing immediate needs such as clothing and daily living supplies, all lost in their home. I have taught first grade alongside Cari for the past 8 years. She and Nathan are beneficiaries to this Go Fund Me and will be able to transfer the funds raised directly to their own checking account to use immediately.
Their home is still standing, but will need to be gutted and rebuilt. They have received an estimate of 7-8 months that they will be without a home. They also have three cats, one of which is still missing.
Thank you for considering helping this family during their greatest time of need.
