Hi, my name is Stacey and on behalf of my mother and I, I'm starting this fundraiser for my sister Jennifer and her family.
Recently, the Tuck family’s world was turned upside down. Terry Tuck, a husband
and father to two young girls was rushed into emergency surgery to have part of his small intestine removed. The cause is still unknown. Thankfully, after two life-saving surgeries, Terry is out of intensive care, and is on the long road to recovery.
This crisis came without warning. One day Terry was working hard to provide for his family,
and the next he was in a hospital bed fighting for his life. Two major surgeries later, he is
stable, but unable to work and facing a lengthy recovery.
Under normal circumstances, Terry works overtime whenever possible, and his wife, Jennifer,
already juggles two jobs. Now, the demands on Jennifer have grown enormously, she must
continue working while also managing Terry’s health care, hospital visits, and the needs of
their daughters. She urgently needs the flexibility to take time away from work, but doing so would further reduce the family’s already limited income.
A couple of years ago, while working overtime, Terry slipped on the ice and broke his hip, requiring a full hip replacement. Months of recovery, set the family back financially. With the rising
cost of living, they’ve been working hard to catch up ever since, making this latest medical
crisis even more overwhelming.
We are raising funds to help cover essential living costs during Terry’s recovery, including:
Mortgage and utilities to keep their home secure - Groceries and household essentials -
Insurance payments - Lost income so Jennifer can take time away from work to manage care
and family needs - Unexpected expenses related to this medical emergency.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a real difference in helping the Tucks through
this difficult time. If you can’t donate, please share this page so we can reach more people
who might be able to help.
Thank you for supporting the Tuck family when they need it most. Your kindness, generosity,
and prayers mean more than words can say.
Many thanks to the workplaces for their support and understanding, neighbours, friends and family for lending a hand. Kindness makes difficult times bearable.
