Help Michelle Recover from ❤️ Surgery!
Donation protected
Hi Everyone - This message is from Michelle's friends, Kizzie, Winnie, Amy, and Dara. Many of you know Michelle as the “Treat Lady” of Fort Greene Park. Michelle is having heart surgery on Monday 2/28 and she needs help from our community. Since she is the sole proprietor of a small business, Michelle will have no income until she is fully recovered and can start making her delicious dog treats again.
Michelle was suffering from shortness of breath about 3 weeks ago and had to be rushed to the hospital. Michelle's doctors discovered that she needs a triple bypass. If you have experienced open heart surgery, or know anyone who has, you realize that Michelle is in for a long recovery.

Almost every morning for the past 10 years, you could find Michelle surrounded by a throng of furry friends, doling out her homemade Scooter Snacks dog treats. She is by far the most beloved human at off leash hours.
It is our hope that we can treat the "Treat Lady" to a worry-free recovery by helping to cover some of her housing and medical expenses. Let's rally the Fort Greene Park community to support Michelle in her time of need.
If you can't donate, please spread the word, post to your social media accounts, or share with friends and family. Anything helps. We will share your good wishes with Michelle once she's well enough to have visitors.
*Many people have asked about Michelle's dog Lucy, who she adopted after the passing of Lucy's owner Denise last year. Lucy is being lovingly cared for by friends and neighbors while Michelle is in the hospital.
**Bittersweet café is helping out by baking Scooter Snacks in their kitchen while Michelle is in the hospital. So please stop by and get a fresh treat for your pooch. Supplies are limited!
