Hi, My name is Kelly Monroe and I am a Realtor who had the honor of helping a family relocate from Ohio to Florida. (Normally a mildly stressful yet rewarding task with a happy ending.) Not in this case.

Meet the Tomlinson's
The First Trial: Almost 4 years of grieving the tragic loss of their eldest son Kolton - Kathee and Kevin Tomlinson decided they needed a reset and made plans to relocate from Ohio to Florida.
The Reset Plan: Kevin secured a job and a rental property in Florida, while Kathee and the family were tying up loose ends in Ohio and saying do long to the life they have known for 30+ years. Plans to heal emotionally and come together as a whole family were looking brighter than ever.
The 2nd Trial: 4 days after Kathy and her family arrived in sunny Florida ready to start their new lives, Kevin, the family's sole provider, was diagnosed with stage 4 terminal cancer.
The Tragedy: 24 heartwrenching days and 3 hours after being honored for his service to our country with a Veterans Salute, Kevin went to be with the Lord.
The Aftermath: Since Kevin had only worked at the new job for 60 days, he did not qualify for medical or life insurance. The family is now struggling financially with funeral expenses and medical bills, not to mention being fast-tracked into establishing and maintaining future income. (No small feat considering the family has no network of family or friends being so new to the area.)
And Wait...There's More: To add insult to injury, the moving van with all of the family's belongings, photos, and anything left to memorialize Kevin and Kolton, has been missing for well over a month and may have been stolen.
