I never thought I would be writing something like this on behalf of my best friend, but I can’t sit back and watch this family carry all of this alone anymore.
Kiley and Michael are the kind of people who would give the shirt off their back to anyone in need. They’ve always shown up for others, stayed strong, and handled everything quietly… but right now, they are facing more than any one family should have to carry.
They are financially responsible for four young daughters, as well as a little boy they’ve taken in and love as their own who has autism, and their nephew Dart who also lives with them. Their home is full of love—but also full of responsibility.
Their daughter Raigen recently suffered a concussion while trying to protect a friend during a situation at school. Since then, she has needed ongoing medical care and will be in occupational therapy weekly through April and May, with physical therapy likely being added soon. She also has specialist appointments, including an eye doctor, along with regular visits to her primary provider.
At the same time, their daughter Anaiis has just come out of partial hospitalization after battling severe mental health struggles following ongoing bullying and racial harassment at school. This has shaken their entire family.
Because of everything happening, this summer their family needs both parents home to support Anaiis mentally and emotionally, and to help Raigen physically through her recovery and appointments. That means a loss of income they simply cannot afford—but their children come first, no question.
And in the middle of all of this… their vehicle’s transmission has completely failed.
The cost to fix it is $9,600 alone, and that doesn’t even begin to cover the bills piling up at home or the income they are losing just trying to be present for their children during this critical time.
Without a reliable vehicle, getting to these constant appointments becomes nearly impossible.
Kiley and Michael have been silently battling all of this, leaning on very few people, trying to hold everything together behind closed doors. But as someone who loves them, I can tell you—this is breaking them.
On top of everything, their newly opened business has taken a hit because their focus has had to shift fully to their children’s mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
This is simply too much for one family to carry alone.
I’m asking on their behalf because I know they wouldn’t ask themselves:
If you can donate, share, or even just send a prayer or kind words—it all matters more than you know.
Their immediate need is $9,600 to repair their vehicle so they can safely get their daughter to medical care.
Their overall goal is $15,000 to help cover the transmission, lost income, and basic household expenses while they focus on their children’s healing.
They are good people.
They are strong parents.
They just need a little help right now.
