On October 13th, my mom went in for what was supposed to a simple surgery to help with her battle against COPD. Less than 12 hours from being released after the surgery, she was brought back in to the ICU. She fought hard every day for a month against complications with the surgery, problems with her lungs, and pneumonia. On November 15th, she lost her battle.
My mom was the rock of this family. She was always the one we turned to for answers or help. She always knew what to do. She would help us with anything we needed, and that help would extended to anyone that came around her, even outside of the family. She couldn’t stand to see any living thing suffer in any way, no matter how big or small, and would go to the ends of the Earth to help.
Right by her side has been my Dad. Together, they have raised my two little nephews. Always making sure they are provided for and had everything they want and need. My dad has been the sole provider for the 4 of them and has never asked for help.
Now I’m asking for help for him, to relieve him of some of the funeral and memorial costs. This was very unexpected and sudden, and costs have made things a bit hard on them.
Anything will help, truly. Thank you all.
