Help the Thome Family After the Devastating Fire
Donation protected
My name is Amanda, and I’ve known the Thomes for about 15 years. I met them through my husband, Gil, who became friends with Adrian about 20 years ago through mountain biking. We've gone on numerous camping trips together, and for the past 10 years, it's been a tradition for all of us to go camping for New Year's. We love the Thomes!
Our dear friends, Adrian and Cindy Thome, just experienced what I can only imagine to be the worst day of their lives. It began with a knock on the door at 2 a.m. on January 8th, telling them they needed to evacuate their home due to the imminent threat of the Eaton fire. They packed up as much as they could in the little time they had, and thankfully managed to escape with their son, Alexander, their two cats, and two large tortoises. They are all safe.
However, several hours later, they received a devastating call from a neighbor: their home was gone. They lost everything. Their furniture, clothes, appliances, and even some of their vehicles were destroyed in the fire. Adrian and Cindy had lived in that home for 25 years. It’s where they brought Alexander home from the hospital, and where they’ve made countless memories they will never get back.
It will be a long road to recovery, and none of us can fully comprehend what they’re going through unless we've experienced it ourselves. Please help our friends rebuild their lives. Any donation, no matter how small, would mean the world to them. They’re starting from scratch, so donations will go toward expenses that are not covered by insurance or other types of aide.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
