Help a Family Stay Safe and Together

Life has come to a standstill for the Thareja family as they face a heartbreaking and uncertain time and fight the legal battle. Due to their ongoing Asylum immigration case, they are temporarily unable to work—and without income, they are struggling to meet even their most basic needs. They need support to stay afloat for the next 150 days until they are allowed to work again.

This is a family that started to work as soon as they could and have held jobs in the healthcare industry for years. They worked with seniors during the pandemic, they are hard workers who contributed to their community, and done everything possible to build a better future. They fled an impossibly abusive environment in hopes for safety. Now, they’re in a fight to remain together, safe, and in the only place they call home.

Funds raised will go directly toward:

-Rent and essential bills

-Groceries and daily living expenses

-Legal fees related to their immigration case
