Help the Terry family memorialize Eric (44).

Hi, my name is Crystal Matelski - Terry, and I am raising funds to help pay for my husband, Eric Terry's memorial.

Anyone who knows me...knows I typically try and carry the weight of the world on my shoulders, for the things that I love, without asking for anything in return, other than to pay it forward. I am not used to asking for help, as I've often times had to be self-reliant throughout much of my life, but in this moment I am stepping out of my comfort zone.

I, and my children, are in need of help and I am asking for your help.

My children and I have suffered the loss of Eric and we, as well as extended family and friends, are still deeply grieving his loss in our lives and futures, but as they say..."life goes on for those he left behind". One of the realities of life going on, is the expenses that come after such a loss.

I have had great family and friends show support to me and our family during this time, and I am utterly and at times, tearfully grateful at the immense expression of love that has been poured out on us and the prayers that have been sent up for us.

As we are just beginning our journey without him, we are left with the cost of his memorial, which I am unable to cover in totality. I am stepping out on faith and hope that my family, friends, and even empathetic strangers would be willing to donate towards my husband's memorial costs.

This would lighten this financial load that is on our backs, so we can better focus on healing the heaviness in our hearts.

Again, if you know me, you know we have been together for a long time, through thick and thin, better or worse, and until death did we part. He was such an important part of our family and I miss him every second of the day. As I am "doing it through the tears", even though I would rather just lay in bed and sob, I know he lives through us so his life continues on.

He loved his children and family, he has been a rescuer a lot of times, when people needed him the most. It made him feel good and proud to be able to help others. Right now I am asking in humility if you would be willing or able to help me. For those of you who have extended yourself to offer how you could help, this is your opportunity, if you are able to be the Blessings that we need.

Integrity is important to me, so any money donated will go towards Eric's memorial, anything beyond that will strictly be used for the purposes of paying off any bills related to his untimely death, and would never be used for frivolous things, as I know during this time, we all have financial responsibilities and I take that very seriously. I have 60 days to pay this off, otherwise it will accrue interest and the funeral home has been gracious enough to be willing to work with me, which I am thankful for...Shout out to Adams funeral home...Thank you.
