Help the Teague Family Rebuild After Devastating House Fire

Late on the night of January 27th, around 11 PM, my best friends Shannon and Cody Teague, and their two young kids, ages 12 and 9, lost everything in a devastating house fire. My goddaughter first saw the flames, and ran into her parents’ room to tell them the ceiling was on fire. Thankfully, they were able to get the kids, their three dogs, and multiple cats out in time—everyone is safe, and for that, we are beyond grateful.

Unfortunately, the fire destroyed their home and all of their belongings. They are left with literally nothing but the clothes they were wearing that night.

This family has overcome so much already. Shannon and Cody have fought hard to rebuild their lives on the Western Slope of Colorado, they have worked tirelessly to create a home for their family. This family has been displaced many times in the past, and finally had a place to call their own, and for almost 4 years this home was filled with love, memories, and hard-earned belongings—from electronics and furniture to their kids’ toys. In just a few short hours, all of that was taken away. The rug was pulled out from under them so quickly.

Now, the Teagues are facing the extreme trauma of displacement, losing every single worldly possession they had, and the daunting task of starting completely over. They need help to rebuild their lives and give their kids a sense of stability after this tragedy.

We are asking for donations to help them with immediate needs like clothes, food, and essentials, as well as to support them in finding a new place to live and begin replacing what was lost. Any amount you can give will make a difference.
