Help Taylor family recover from Hurricane Ian

Hello, my name is Alyssa Yoder. I am a long time family friend of the Taylor family. And as most of you know, hurricane Ian barreled through Southwest Florida this week, causing devastation everywhere. Among those severely effected is the Taylor family.

Melanie Taylor is a beloved wife, mother and teacher in our area. She has 6 amazing children, the oldest of which is a mother of two, also effected by this storm, and is one of my best friends. Her husband Jason, a hard working man of God, is now left with no way to support them as he previously did. Their property in Arcadia is completely underwater and completely destroyed all of his work equipment. They spent Wednesday night on their roof as the flood waters over took their house and everything in it. I cannot imagine the strength it takes to get through such a terrifying event. Thankfully, after a long and uncertain many hours out there, they were finally rescued by boat Thursday afternoon and have made it to safety.

While we are extremely happy that they made it out safely, they now face a much longer battle to rebuild their lives. And so we are calling upon our community, any of us who know them or who may not know them but may want to help those effected by this storm directly, to please consider donating to this sweet sweet family and helping them meet two of their biggest needs right now; the first of which is a vehicle, they need a form of transportation to get them from A to B, and the second need is going to be a home. They are going to need to find a place to rent after their temporary housing situation expires. And as you all know, rent in Florida is not near as affordable as what it used to be.

This is a family of 7 total, with the youngest being 8 years old, in greatest need of a vehicle and housing. Any funds raised will go directly to them and their immediate needs. If you are local and happen to have a vehicle to donate, please get in contact with me through this go fund me. Even if by miracle we can secure a donated vehicle, they will still need money for gas and housing, and other small necessities so do not hesitate to donate if you’re able to. Any and all money collected will go directly to them and their immediate needs.
